Sam Moorin joined Pollart Miller in 2021 after graduating from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, earning his Juris Doctor.

During law school, Mr. Moorin was the senior managing editor of the Denver Journal of International Law and Policy and was selected by Judge Lynn Hughes of the Southern District of Texas as the winner of the Houston Journal of International Law’s James Baker Hughes Writing Competition for his article American Cannabis Regulation, the International Hemp Market, and Tariff Policy.

While in law school, Mr. Moorin also worked judicial, legislative advocacy, business and employment litigation, corporate and in-house internships, helping him gain beneficial and practical experiences in civil litigation. Additionally, Mr. Moorin participated in several moot court, negotiation, and trial advocacy competitions, winning the Sturm College of Law’s Vis Cup Moot Court competition for oral advocacy and Excellence in International Arbitration.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Moorin graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Studies.
