Prior to joining Pollart Miller, Ms. Vel squez’s career focused on product liability matters,

commercial/business issues, and construction and surety matters.

During law school, Ms. Vel squez held internships at Welltok and Westmoreland Coal Co.,

participating in commercial law issues. Ms. Vel squez provided volunteer legal work for

Groundwork Denver and the Southern Plains Land Trust, providing support in areas of food law

and land conservation. Ms. Vel squez previously participated in the National Environmental Moot

Court competition located At Pace University; The Advocates Cup; and Student Trial Lawyers

Association.

Ms. Vel squez graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor ’s degree in Sociology

with a concentration in Criminal Justice and a minor in Political Science. She received her second

Bachelor’s degree in Languages, Literatures, and Cultures with a concentration in Spanish. She

received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver with a certificate in Environmental and

Natural Resources Law.
